Strawberry Cough Describes Itself Perfectly
This Sativa-dominant Hybrid is roughly
80% Sativa (Erdbeer) and just
20% mixed with an unknown Indica rumored to come from North America. There is another line of Strawberry Cough, which Kyle Kushman grows for Buds and Roses LA, that is a clone-only cross between Strawberry Fields and Haze.
Strawberry Cough: Like A Batch of Wild Strawberries
Needless to say, Strawberry Cough was quick to win our hearts over. All it took was the 3.5 gram container being opened — and then came the intoxicating terpenoids. Once the aroma of sweet strawberries hits your nostrils you know you are in for a real treat.
The buds from the Strawberry Cough plant tend to be smaller in size, but pack a lot of potency in each and every hit. They are bright green in hue with really red hairs all over — just what you’d expect from a strain with strawberry in its name. The smell of sweet strawberries can be intoxicating. Take this scent, and multiply it exponentially by putting a fat bud in the grinder and giving it a few turns.
“It’s one of those marijuana strains that has such a distinct strawberry smell that you will never forget it. Great for people looking for an uplifting Hybrid.”
The name Strawberry Cough stems from the dense buds usually causing you to cough when the smoke expands in your lungs (and the obvious aroma of Strawberries). The smoke on the inhale was extremely smooth and the full of… you guessed it… more berries.
How Will The Strawberry Cough Strain Affect Me?
It was hard not to like the truly uplifting effects of this Sativa-like strain. It had heavy haze effects (mainly head), in that it takes away all of your anxieties without knocking you out.
Patients can expect clearheaded effects that will effectively remove all the anxiety and stress that is so ubiquitous in our daily lives today. A personal favorite of mine, I wish more dispensaries carried this classic strain.

Always a favorite, Great Strawberry taste with stress relieving effects.
What a great sativa. I must say, I’m proud to live in Ct, near a strawberry field, possibly near the origin of Strawberry Cough. I’m always surprised, no matter how many times I revisit this strain, with how euphoric and energized it makes me feel. I call it my “Iron Curtain” for depression I consider this one of my favorite sativas, right up there with Green Crack, and Jack Herer. Excellent 🍓
I’ve researched this strain and it apparently gets the “strawberry” part from a strawberry farm in Vermont where it originated. So the original genetics don’t refer to the taste or smell but a location more than a decade ago. I guess growers have cross bred the taste in there somehow. A great strain, time tested .
what a great strain!! three hits of this had my girls panties Hit the Floor . very energizing ,we had a wonderful night. Strawberry syrup and some Strawberry Cough amen
Strawberry Cough is a strain that holds true to its name. A sweet strawberry smell and subtle after taste is accompanied by a thick smoke that leaves even veteran tokers coughing. This strain is sativa dominant with an 80:20 sativa/indica ratio. Strawberry cough is said to be a cross between Erdb…
