The Complete Guide to Cannabis Tourism in Portland
Portland, Oregon, is known for its gorgeous scenery and has a reputation as a haven for artists, hippies, and ultra-liberal “hipster” types. The city has also been a haven for marijuana fans since Oregon decriminalized possession back in 1973 (the first U.S. state to do so).
Now, recreational weed use is completely legal in Portland by any adult age 21 and over. Use is restricted to homes and other private spaces, though. Smoking or taking edibles in public view is illegal and the fine for doing so can run up to $1000. Any cannabis purchased in Oregon needs to be consumed while you’re still in the state. Cannabis can’t be legally carried over state lines, even if you are entering another state where it is legal.
Driving or biking under the influence is not allowed, but in addition to ample taxi and ride-sharing services, Portland also has a light rail system so you can easily (and safely!) see all of the amazing fun this unique city has to offer. Here’s our guide to the best ways to enjoy a 420 vacation in Portland!

Portland weed reddit
I just picked up an O of bubblegum bubba at the green remedy in SE for $90
It gets me high for sure. Looks pretty good. It is 10% thc, but honestly, it gets me high just fine. No seeds, mostly popcorn nug. I’ve been picking it up for like the past month, since I’ve been on a budget lately
Word. Thanks man.
i got some shit from urban pharms once that was like that, like 12% stuff, and i was blasted. those tests are so wack.
It’s not about the test so much as it is about the terps and how it’s grown. I had some 17% stuff get me so stoned I couldn’t move, but the 30% OG Kush I tried did nothing.
I sometimes wonder how much of that is terps and how much of that is things like unequal distribution of THC within a plant or a crop, and how efficient the combustion is at delivering THC into the smoke rather than destroying it, etc. Weed is so complicated.
That’s why the new testing has the labs picking a sampling of the crop/batch. Now the tests are closer to the average potency for the entire plant. Also with the standardized testing regulations, we should expect to see lower potency all around because they are testing the THC before it’s activated. The labs that were giving everyone high test results were testing the THC once it’s fully active, and that will always be higher.
Oh, yeah, I guess it’s also true that one batch could be before the testing change and one could be after.
Right, I’m just saying the tests are even more meaningless than they were before. I look at places like seedfinder and other databases with test results to get an idea of how a particular pheno has behaved for others. A general picture of all the terps and cannabinoids as well (there’s examples of sativas that have energetic terps AND high CBN, which makes for a very interesting trip.)
A secret not many people know about the tests: The law allows a producer to label their product as +/- 5%. That 28% flower? Yeah, it’s 23%.
