Herbies Seeds IS TRASH! (WARNING DONT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!)

Check that thread out. Nothing but good stuff about Herbie’s.

I wouldn’t say there is nothing but good to say about herbies, the beans show up but how old they are is questionable. I had a germination issue with herbies beans and their freebies blow ass crack, worst freebies in the industry.

But that is just my personal experience. I guess it wasn’t all bad I received them at least.

Their customer service is better than most places though, that is a +1 for them. I would order from them if I had to as I know they will arrive but I am glad to have closer options at the moment.

Well that’s it then, no more Herbies for me ever. This has me shook up and full support for op.

On second thought. uhhhhh. well. ummmm. no I do not agree with op and feel sorry for the banks that have to deal with this kind of crap.

Oh, and the reason they don’t offer tracking is it’s more suspicious to customs. Their shipping is pretty stealthy based on what I hear from my sister, but if they decide a package might have something or just seems suspicious they’re going to find it unless you’re really lucky.

You should get *something* in the mail OP. My sister’s boyfriend said he’s had two packages from Herbie’s opened and both times the package got to him anyway.

I had an order confiscated from a different bank and I was sure they cheated me too; my package took about five weeks to get here and didn’t have any green tape on it, just a letter from the U.S. Department of Agriculture inside that said my order had been confiscated because it contained Cannabis Sativa seeds and that the contents were destroyed. But that’s just so unrealistic that the bank ripped me off. Even though I wasn’t pleased with the customer experience with Original-SSC and won’t be doing business with them after using my credit, (now that I’m outside my hurt and anger) I just can’t believe they’d intentionally rip me off. It’s a reputation that NO bank wants.

Like I said, if the inspectors decide something is fishy, there’s nothing you can do- tracking or no tracking. I hope it shows up full of beans and happiness and sunshine.

It sucks to have your order confiscated. Especially when it’s your first. I know EXACTLY what that’s like. But these places won’t be in business very long if they rip people off on their orders, and honestly- no matter how much it sucks for you and me (and the $140 that my order cost hit me hard, I’m on disability and had to borrow that from relatives. I can’t just replace my order) $100+ is just a drop in the bucket to these guys. It’s not so much they lose their mind and decide to scrap a lucrative and well known business over a few bucks. That’s a lot of money to you and me, but not as much to them. I bet they get at least a hundred $100+ orders a day from the U.S. They’re not going to steal yours.

When my order with Original-SSC was confiscated they only offered me 50% of my order value (pre-shipping costs) and shipping has to come out of my own pocket on the replacement order. I wish I had the experience/offer from them that you had from Herbie’s.

Unfortunately in the US it’s a bit like a lottery when you order seeds, especially if you’re in the western half of the Midwest, like I am. (Basically anywhere west of the eastern Illinois line, everything I’ve read says Chicago is a real hardass with a sharp eye on beans when they sort packages.) But – if you don’t pay to play you can’t reap the rewards. They’re not all going to be winners, but you can’t go into it with a loser’s attitude.

Be patient. Be kind. Be open. Don’t have ridiculous expectations. Treat them like you would want someone to treat you if they walked into your business. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Banks know about shipping issues and are willing to work with you and help you out. It seems like Herbie’s went above and beyond for you. I think in a few days you’ll be outside your anger and see they’re being more than fair with you.
