Chocolope

aka D-Line

DNA Genetics developed Chocolope by crossing Chocolate Thai with Cannalope Haze to create their homage to the Chocolate strains of the 1980s. The hefty sativa buds give earthy, sweet coffee flavors that provide a dreamy, cerebral effect. Consumers report a strong, euphoric mental shift that is great when coping with depression or stress.

About this Sativa Strain

The cannabis strain called Chocolope (aka D-Line) is a pure sativa that tastes and smells earthy and sweet, similar to chocolate with a fruity undertone reminiscent of its parent strains. It produces light green buds with lots of dark orange, brown, and/or red hairs.

It’s the daughter of two sativas: Chocolate Thai and Cannalope Haze. Don’t confuse Chocolope with Chocolope Kush. Chocolope Kush is an indica that creates quite a different high.

Its THC level is normally at 15% but can be as high as 21%. Chocolope is great for both novice and avid cannabis users, creating a strong cerebral high that’s often described as dreamy, surreal, and thought-provoking. It’s said to be great for coping with stress, and many recommend it for morning use to improve one’s mood for the entirety of the day. It also energizes the consumer, eliminating fatigue.

Paranoia and dizziness can be a negative side-effect if too much is consumed at once. Expect to have dry mouth and dry eyes.

For growers, Chocolope needs lots of space and has a 10-12 week flowering period – often ready for reaping in early November. Chocolope is quite susceptible to mold and will need lots of pruning.
