    More soil is more better.
    At my latitude (43N), flowering begins in a few weeks – around the 1st of August.
    Transplanting out of a 10 gal. pot is a pain. I’ve done 7 gal plenty of times and that’s pushing it for me.

    I’m in 75 gallon “pots” buried about 3/4 of the way into the ground. Plants are currently 5-6’+and I expect 10’+ out of one or two of them even after topping them many times.
